I am Ruben, 30 years years old and from the Netherlands. After finishing my masters in Engineering i traveled the world for 2 years and Workaway was an integral part of it.

I am am an outgoing and enthusiastic person with an pragmatic and optimistic mindset. I have a passion for meeting new people and to find out what we have in common. My interests are very broad and I am easily excited about any type of project, and I'm convinced that I can be useful in any environment I find myself in.

- I worked as a part time landscaper for 11 years

I have obtained a master's degree in Industrial Design Engineering. Among the skills I have obtained during this studies are:
- Creative problem solving
- Proficiency in engineering science such as mathematics and physics
- Proficiency in behavioral psychology
- Proficiency in graphic/service/product/ environmental and human centered design

I am able to consult and participate in just about any design challenge. Whether it's about, construction, services, digital or whatever :)

I have worked as a part-time landscaper for over 7 years. During this time I have created and maintained numerous gardens and public spaces and gained experience in construction projects.

For 3 summers I have worked on French camping sites as an entertainer for kids and teenagers. I have also trained other people to do this job.

I have already volunteered in the following type of projects:
- Construction (Animal enclosures/fencing, concrete wall building, flooring, demolition)
- Tutoring (physics and chemistry)
- Performing (Singing/instruments)

- Digital animation

I have always been very interested in making music. I sing, play the saxophone, piano and a bit of guitar.
