Hey!
My name is Rose, I'm 20, from England.
I am starting my gap year, after finishing an art foundation, to do some solo travel around the world, immerse my self in local life, meet new people, and gain different skills and experiences. After my gap year, I have a place studying architecture at university in a small coastal town in England.
I'm a sociable, friendly person and can work well in a team or solo at a task. I'm very creative and love making art, especially painting and making sculptures. I am also a keen swimmer, which lead me to work as a lifeguard for the past three years along side my studies, first as a pool lifeguard and then as an open water lifeguard at a beautiful little lake in my hometown, Bristol. I absolutely love being in nature, however this has been harder to access whilst living in the city. This is part of the reason why I want to travel to beautiful natural places to find a deeper peace that the city cannot give me and to escape from the constant noise and pollution. I started meditating around 2 years ago which has brought me so much peace, but in the past 6 months or so, I have craved the chance to do my meditations surrounded in nature since it feels like living in the city stops me from being able to fully immerse myself in it.
I have experience volunteering and working in conscious communities at festivals and retreats in the UK, such as Buddhafield, which have been amazing learning experiences that I would like to do more of. This has made me interested in working on eco projects in a team of other like-minded people.
I would especially like to learn how to build and construct things, since this would be good practice for before starting my architecture course. In the realms of constructing, I have a particular interest in woodwork, which I became keen on during my art foundation course last year and I would be fascinated to learn more about, however I'm open to all aspects of the building process!
I'm good at cooking and like trying out new cuisines. I'm also an animal lover and am used to sharing their company; I have a cute little cat called Chili, and used to have a rescue dog.
I also speak intermediate Spanish, and would love the chance to practice it more with the aim of becoming fluent. I love learning languages and would be open to learning others as a beginner as well!
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I hope to find a nice host that can accommodate me on my travels in exchange for my work!

Feedback
We travelled together and worked well together.
Eager to communicate and connect with others.
She assisted with a variety of tasks at hand.
In the end she felt a bit lonely here in the mountains and left a bit earlier than planned - which makes total sense.
All the best with the rest of your adventures.
