We would love to learn about daily life in Tanzania, local traditions, food, languages, education, community values and the way people live around Arusha. We are also interested in learning how local projects work from the inside. We believe that travelling slowly and sharing everyday life with a host is one of the best ways to understand a country with respect.

We can help with different kinds of tasks, depending on what the host needs. Some of the areas where we feel comfortable are:

- Helping with children: creative games, basic educational activities, routines, emotional support, homework or language practice.
- Language exchange: we can help with Spanish and basic English practice in a natural and friendly way.
- Organisation and daily tasks: preparing materials, keeping spaces tidy, helping with routines, cooking simple meals or supporting house tasks.
- Communication and creativity: taking photos, creating simple content for social media, writing descriptions, helping with ideas for activities or basic digital tasks.
- Community life: we are happy to collaborate in simple practical tasks, always following the host’s instructions and respecting local customs.

We are not experts in everything, but we are motivated, careful, patient and willing to learn.

We are tidy, careful with shared spaces and respectful of house rules, local customs and personal boundaries. Communication is very important for us, so we prefer asking and clarifying things rather than assuming.

Before confirming a stay, we like to have a clear conversation about the type of help needed, working hours, days off, accommodation, meals, location, transport options and house rules.

We believe this helps both host and volunteers feel comfortable and safe. We are looking for a respectful exchange where expectations are clear from the beginning.
