Hola,
I'm a father of three, a cook, resident in La Gomera, Islas Canarias, easy going, very patient, hardworking, jovial and like to help people. Other work experiences were as a care worker in the U.K, a delivery driver, gardener, seasonal worker and one time I worked for the protection of animals and as a field guide in South Africa. I have a life of interesting stories to share as well as yummy recipes for all different diets.
I travelled in Latin America for two years and volunteered mostly in schools, helping students with their English. Also for an animal sanctuary and for a fundacion for underprivileged children with learning disabilities.
I travel by bicycle.

Wow! Alberto is a very generous, cool dude. He likes his food and is a very good cook. You'll definitely learn a lot about the local cuisine and wild food. Jara is a sweetheart . I passed a lovely 4 weeks at Roci's beautiful home. The projects were varied and very enjoyable. Magnificent views from the open kitchen by your accommodation where you can enjoy watching the hummingbirds.

Great school with lovely, friendly staff and motivated students. The accommodation is super, with private bathroom, comfy bed and strong wifi. Good if you have to work online as you have plenty of time for that, or for visiting all the beautiful places as mentioned in the profile.

Richard is a very helpful person, he did a good job in our institute sharing his experience He helped our students to improve their speaking skills He was able to work with different levels and ages. I highly recommend coming to this lovely school in Camiri. The students and teachers are so nice. The teaching is merely conversing so that students have a chance to hear a different voice, as few, if any tourists pass through town. (Which is something I liked). Very enjoyable, relaxing two weeks (almost). A beautiful location in harmony with nature. It's an hour and a half walk to town. You can get a motorcycle taxi on the way back but need two hands to hold on tight. The work was gentle for the most part, not too taxing at all. Thanks Andres, I really enjoyed my stay at your finca. Very enjoyable four week stay. Off grid. No electricity or coverage. Only the stars, mosquitos and a cacophony of insects. Your stay helps to support the local community.
