Hi I'm Pippa :)
I am an artist, gardener, teacher, coach, animal whisperer, jill of all trades and student of life.
I'm passionate about environmentalism, being close to nature, education, health and wellness, and being kind to all creatures great and small.
I am hoping to find my people and live sustainably in community.
I have worked many different jobs and I have many different skills and interests. I am handy in the garden, the field, the office, the kitchen, around the house. I am organized, friendly, compassionate, responsible, positive, drama-free and hard working.
Thank you for being here and I hope to connect with you soon!
A bit more about me:
I was born in the United States, in Boston Massachusetts, and graduated from Newton South High School in 2006. My mother was a pre-school teacher for over thirty years and I worked at her school as an assistant teacher when I was in high school and college. I also was a camp counselor at a sleep away summer camp for boys and girls and I have a lot of experience caring for children of all ages.
I received my BA from The University of Vermont in 2010 in Burlington Vermont. I had a broad liberal arts education with focuses in Studio Art, Art History, Dance and Spanish. I studied abroad for six months during my junior year in college at La Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso in Chile where I continued my studies in the arts and Spanish.
After graduating from UVM, I continued to live in the beautiful state of Vermont. In Burlington I worked as an artist, art teacher, public gallery associate, and store manager for American Apparel. My interests eventually shifted to include sustainability, organic farming, gardening, and animal husbandry, and I ended up working on several different farms between 2013-2016, including the National Historical Landmark and non profit organization, Shelburne Farms in Shelburne VT.

In 2016 I moved to the island of Maui in Hawaii for a paid position on a cattle ranch and organic farm in a small rural town called Hana. At Hana Ranch I worked as a member of the farm crew, as a farm tour guide, as the farm stand manager, and I also worked in the farm to table food truck.

I lived on Maui for five years before returning to the state of Maine in 2020. Additionally during my time on Maui I worked as an elementary school art and dance teacher, as a property manager, landscaper, and as an administrative assistant. I also volunteered for a non profit organization dedicated to the preservation of traditional Hawaiian culture and learned how to build traditional Hawaiian houses called Hales. In Hawaii I also learned Hula and Tahitian dance and completed a 200 hour Chakra Yoga Teacher Training course.
In the state of Maine I worked as a receptionist and health care worker at a health center called Planned Parenthood; as a tennis instructor and coach for children; as a produce stocker and cashier at a small local market; as a framer and artist and painter, and as a nanny.
One of my most beloved studies at University was photography and I love to take pictures.
If you'd like to see some of my photos please check out the website below which includes a collection of my animal photography.

So far in my life I have been fortunate and blessed to be able to travel to many different countries including: Canada, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Mexico, The Dominican Republic, Chile, Argentina, The Bahamas, England, Ireland, Iceland, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Germany and Israel. I always learn so much during my travels and I hope to continue to expand my worldly education through travel.
Thank you for you time and all the best,
PippaInterests

Logistically and practicality-wise, I was a little nervous about things because I don’t speak German, but of course it was all more than fine :) The farm is quite easy to get to from the Munich airport and there is a bus stop right next to the… read more
Pippa Rose is a nice girl, she did a great service in our garden, served Krishna's cows at the farm, she has a very good nature with a happy smiling face. She was really helpful around the garden; potting, transplanting, weeding and clearing. She always worked hard, was punctual and learnt new tasks very quickly. She was always… read more
