I was born in Germany and grew up in the beautiful Swabian region. At some point, the travel bug got me — and it never really left. I’ve travelled and worked a bit through Central and South America, and for the past 25 years I’ve been living in Spain. Professionally, I worked in the service and technical support field within the medical technology industry. So I’m used to getting things done, thinking practically, and finding solutions when things don’t quite go according to plan. But work is only one part of life. What I really love is travelling, discovering new places, and especially meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures. For me, it’s often the conversations, stories and shared experiences that make a journey truly special. I love people, nature and animals, and I’m curious about pretty much everything connected to life and what it means to be human. I would describe myself as open-minded, helpful, down-to-earth and practical. I’m happy to get my hands dirty and pitch in wherever I’m needed. You probably won’t have to ask me five times where the problem is. In September, I’ll be travelling through Sweden. I don’t want to experience Sweden only as a tourist — I’d much rather get to know the country, its people and everyday life through Workaway. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, contributing something useful, learning from each other, sharing experiences and hopefully having plenty of good laughs along the way.Who knows — maybe our paths will cross at just the right time.
