Our next destination:
Bulgaria - from Apr 2025 until May 2025 View allDescription
After more than 7 years of work for both of us, we felt the need to discover more of the world. So we left our jobs and flats and packed our van for an indefinite tour of Europe.
We chose to live in a van, not to follow the ‘Van Life’ movement, but because it was the most obvious way of living ‘simply’ at the time. We're self-sufficient in electricity, we use very little water, and our vehicle is a small truck that consumes less energy than a camper van, for example.
We're committed to ‘reuse’, buying our food in bulk and locally whenever possible.
One of us is an actress/director, the other an electronics engineer, and we both love music, climbing and cooking.
We're happy, curious, hard-working, do-it-yourselfers, creative, in love with the environment and committed to preserving it.Interests

More details about your skills
--> Bastian :
I have an engineering degree in embedded systems (electronics and IT), which I've been applying in my job for the last 10 years in a number of fields, as well as in my personal time on artistic projects, for example.
I also hosted a radio programme for a local community radio station for 10 years, where I was also chairman and treasurer.
I've been helping my parents and friends renovate houses since I was very young (electricity, plumbing, insulation, demolition, painting, woodwork, etc.).
I love DIY and building, and regularly repair things for friends and family (electricity, electronics, IT, mechanics).
I like sharing my skills and am curious to learn new ones.
I've also been a volunteer at a music festival, where I worked as a backliner and assistant sound/lighting engineer. Music and sound have always been a great passion of mine. I make my own amplifiers and I did 6 years of piano and a bit of music theory.
For our van, I designed and installed the electricity with an auxiliary battery, a solar panel and a home-made electronic board to control it all.
Both of us insulated our van and designed and built all the furniture, using recycled materials as much as possible.
--> Océane :
I studied literature at school, then animation, and I'm trained to work with various people (children, teenagers, adults, disabled people), especially in the cultural field. I started acting when I was a teenager, and then made a career out of it, working for 7 years in a drama school as an actress and director, and performing in a street show with another troupe at the same time.
I love teaching and adapting to everyone.
I taught myself stage management (lighting in particular) and I love lighting shows.
I also love photography ( analog and digital ) and have been doing it since I was a child. For several years, I took photos of concerts for the fanzine of a festival in my home town, as a volunteer.
They called me ‘the little monkey’ because ever since I was a little girl, I've been jumping and climbing everywhere. As soon as I can be outside, I make the most of it! I love working the land and gardening. Protecting the environment has always been a concern of mine. In fact, ecology has been one of the main themes I've tackled in the various productions I've worked on with apprentice actors.
In a nutshell! I'm keen to learn new skills and get my hands dirty. I want to develop my craft skills. And I love cooking for others. Food is about sharing and conviviality! :DAge
