Hello :) I'm a British digital nomad with Polish residency. I love being active outdoors, exploring new places and getting close to nature. I have recurring 'fernweh', so travel quite a lot. I keep returning to Finland because it's the only place I've found that feels like home. Currently learning Finnish, mutta on tosi vaikea kieli! Help with this would be much appreciated.
Keen to learn new skills and share new experiences, hopefully with plenty of delicious (vegetarian) food to go around! I enjoy meeting people and socialising, but also value peace, quiet and solitary time for reflection.

My profession is in the charity sector, specifically helping non-profits to recruit and train volunteers. I could potentially help with some online stuff, depending on what it is. E.g. I can design promotional material, info packs, training, etc.
I love to cook vegetarian food, and bake delicious treats :)
I make sure to keep fit and active, so physical activities are also fine. I don't have much experience building or fixing things, but I can tidy, clean, paint, etc. I'm also enthusiastic and usually learn new things quite quickly.

I like to walk/hike, camp, go for bike rides, and swim in natural water (sea, rivers, lakes). I have some experience kayaking. I did a lot of climbing at university but haven't done much recently - it would be good to get back into this!

I had a lovely experience in this beautiful forest location for 2 weeks, sleeping in a tent right next to the house in progress. Nicola came to volunteer with us in august 2023. She didn't shy away from any of the tasks given to her; she worked in the greenhouses, helped building a barn wall, baked, among other things. I spent a very happy 5 days in Pyhämaa with Johanna and her family :) They were all super friendly and made me feel very welcome! The living space was ideal - clean, comfortable and private.
