Description
Fond of nature and agriculture, we are embarking on a year-long vacation to experience different ways of traveling and discovering nature and local practices. We are a French couple (44 and 34 years old) living near Lyon. We work in France in the water and environmental sector. We maintain a large garden with practices derived from organic farming. We have extensive knowledge of plants and animals.
Nicolas's garden: it's located an hour from Lyon, France. It's my grandparents' old farm (traditional mixed farming) which has become the family home. The cow pasture has been transformed into a large landscaped park where I grow fruit trees, flowers, and herbs. My parents tend the vegetable garden. I'm trying to develop soil conservation practices using permaculture principles. Water plays an important role, with a large pond and several smaller ones.
We also like hiking in the French Alps and Florent enjoys fishing (rivers and lakes).
We love learning and sharing, and working with a smile. We love contemplating and discovering.
By the way we love cooking together (a little bit greedy...!) -
