I am older for workaway but I am very young at heart and spirit and so excited to see the world through the eyes of those who live in the community. I love to share my life experiences but would rather hear the stories of others. I understand that every human has had a unique and fascinating path and infinite potential. I am humble and curious and see beauty everywhere.
Cooking for others is my love language and learning about foods from around the globe, and although I was a Chef trained at a prestigious US school, I prefer to make home meals.
I babysit in my community or many families - some are young single Mothers looking for support, others are friends. I rarely accept payment because I like spending time with the children and playing and laughing.
I rarely drink alcohol (but appreciate wine!) and don't smoke anything.

Hello! I am a trained Chef, but really prefer cooking family meals at home. I love to teach small cooking tips and tricks to those who want to learn. I also make sure everything is very clean, neat, safe and orderly in the kitchen. I was a working Mom and worked in boarding schools for most of my career, so I specialize in kid friendly foods.
I babysit in my free time for fun for friends and acquaintances in my small town and I raised 2 wonderful, successful, happy ladies.
I have just completed my TEFL course to teach English as a Foreign language so I will have skills to teach English, and I
majored in English Literature at university a long time ago.
I live in Colorado and love the outdoors, exploring new places and getting to know about the people around me. Living in a resort town, I have friends from 25-85, so I feel comfortable in all surroundings.
I don't own my own garden, or have farm experience, but am not afraid of getting in the dirt and figuring out how to fix things.

I play a lot of board games including cribbage, dominoes and cards. I do puzzles during the winter. I like yoga and excercise, but am not a fanatic. I listen to many books and especially like Autobiographies. I cross countrry ski, hike and bike.

I had a wonderful stay with Helena. She is very kind and generous and accommodating. I was able to borrow her car to go on adventures or shop
locally and also to Nazare and Coimbra. I walked the dogs daily and did what gardening I could considering it was Feb/March and very rainy and a bit too cold.
