Hi !
I'm Moira-a 39 year old woman originally from northern Vancouver Island. I have lived all over Canada and abroad. I worked on a tall ship in the Caribbean for five months. During university, I was able to participate in a 6 week study tour of east Africa. I taught ESL for six years in the Middle East (including Saudi Arabia!) and South Korea, which allowed me to travel to over 50 countries. I love to travel but at a much slower pace now. Quality over quantity! And prefer to feel like a local rather than a tourist.

I have become very passionate about equine-assisted therapy, and hope to integrate it in my future career. I am currently finishing up my Master's in Psychotherapy in the UK.

I have a plethora of employment experiences- teaching English to all ages, campsite attendant, farmhand, deckhand, receptionist, housekeeper, server, nanny and community gardener, to name a few. The skills I can offer are basic gardening/ landscaping, animal care (domestic/farm), child care, general maintenance, and errand runner. I take my time with all tasks and pay attention to detail rather than rush.

I am very independent and prefer small groups of people or one on one interactions, allowing me to get to know individuals better and have genuine conversations. I do best with a balance of people/ alone time. I am usually found outdoors appreciating nature, or enjoying a cat's company at home while watching a new crime series.

I enjoy running, nature walks, swimming and exploring less known areas. I have completed many races including a beer marathon in Belgium! I am an avid movie fan. I prefer animals to humans especially cats and horses, and have ridden on and off for 20 years. My favourite place to be is at the beach.

Sarah was an absolute delight! She is very flexible and lets you make your schedule. I mainly did pet sitting for both Stormy (cat) and Spud (dog). Both animals are too cute. We would take Moira at our place anytime, any day.
Respectful, kind, funny, willing to help and to learn. She showed love to our dog and goats, help chase runaway chickens, assist in every posible way and even treat us some desert (which we already miss).
We where fortunate tu have her in our home and farm.
