Description

Hi i'm Milo. I have just recently turned 18 and live in Jersey. A small island off, of the coast of St.Malo, France. I have always wanted an adventure and have actually wild camped on my own island, which I have to say is beautiful.

However, it is extremely small, and whilst I have been away with my family multiple times to France, England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Madeira. I still feel that I need to travel by myself and immerse myself into different cultures.

Therefore, I felt that the best way for me to do this is to meet with locals and learn about there culture whilst also working any jobs that they have for me, whether that would be from farming or manual labour to helping around the house or just helping kids.

I feel this will develop me as a person and I have a geniune passion to get out into the world and for example camp ontop of mountains and have deep convesations with hosts or the people I meet whilst travelling, whether that would be about life or culture.

I am geniunly ready for an adventure after living almost in a box for the first 18 years of my life. Thank you for offering your time, culture and accomodation, in order to allow people to travel without restriction and free, whilst also enabling people to properly immerse themselves into the culture.

I can try to teach English, I would say I am quite a good teacher although I have never taught English before. English is my native tongue. However, I want to learn Portuguese and French and really any language but those two are my main ones I want to learn.

I would say my best skill, is being able to work manual jobs. I have worked in Waitrose for a year, which is where I learnt discipline and sacafice.

Which I know sounds dramatic, but supermarket jobs can be mundane, but I had a dream to buy a 125cc motorbike and I had to make that come true somehow (eventually it did come true). I have also worked in catering for around 3 motnhs where I was under extreme time pressure and had to think on my feet a lot of the times.

Therefore, from these experiences and just overall, I would say I am very good with people and getting to know people as long as they share the same curiosity with me as I do with them.

I enjoy things that push me as a person, specifically physical things such, as I find it interesting to see how far I am able to push my body, which is an interest i acquired from going to the gym for 2 years. Which is where I learn a lot about perserverance. My dad also has an allotment and whilst its not big I have helped out there numerous times and have enjoyed it most times.

Overall, to cut things short, I would say I am very hard working and will always give 100% in all that I do, I am confident in my abilities and socially, and I am an effective communicator. but my two main aspects are my social skills and manual labour.

What else ...

I am a Chrisitian, and so I would try to go to church on sunday if it is possible. I love swimming and board games such as monopoly, and football I would say is probably the best sport in the world. Honestly any sport I really enjoy, I am very eager to learn the guitar though. I also have a passion for baking, and also eating the way God intended us to eat, so for example whole foods and organically without harming animals. Which is why I am looking more for farm projects, but it would be interesting to meet anyone.
