Description
Hi! I'm Martina – but everyone simply calls me Marti 😊
I'm 26 years old, Italian, and originally from Trieste, in northern Italy. I studied Political Science for my Bachelor's degree and Government Science for my Master's degree. Since I was 19, I have worked as a babysitter during the summer and as a primary school teacher during the rest of the year. I also enjoy crocheting and sewing, although I'm still learning! I love animals, expecially cats.
In 2025, I spent a semester studying in Granada, Spain. One semester wasn't enough, so I came back as a volunteer at a lovely hostel in the city centre. There, I cleaned, cooked, welcomed guests, and worked at the reception desk.
In Granada, I met Giuseppe, my partner. Peppe is 25 years old and comes from Bari, in southern Italy. He has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master's degree in International Relations. He is a great lifeguard, but honestly, he can do almost anything! He loves grilling.
Together, we love cooking (Peppe makes the best bread!), discovering new recipes from all over the world, and sharing meals with friends. We also enjoy long walks in nature, playing board games, and staying active and positive.
Our dream is to live a sustainable life. We imagine our future in a house surrounded by nature, eating what we grow ourselves, taking care of animals, and living a free, relaxed life.
That's why we're here! My partner and I are going to Brisbane, Australia, on a Working Holiday Visa to travel, learn, and work while discovering this amazing part of the world.
We would love to experience different ways of life, meet new people, discover new places, and learn from other cultures. We believe that every experience helps us grow and become more aware of the beauty of the world.
We are looking for a place where we can practise our English and spend time with positive people. A place where we can help with children, grow fruits and vegetables, take care of animals and plants, and contribute to daily life. That would be an exciting and meaningful experience for us!

More details about your skills
I have experience with children and in education, but I am a very flexible person: I learn fast and I like to be helpful where it’s needed. I’m used to working in a team, I can communicate clearly, and I like to take care of others. I can cook, keep things clean, help in the house, and organize small activities.
I’m not afraid to work hard , to wake up early, or to face new situations – that’s exactly what I’m looking for!

Vicky and Jackie were the best hosts I could have asked for. My first experience in Africa was unforgettable thanks to them. They took care of us volunteers in every possible way. At school, the children were incredibly energetic — they taught me so much, even just through their looks. It’s definitely a… read more
