Hi there! We are Markéta and Tom.
We are both theater professionals from Czech republic.
Tom:
Hello! I am a light designer, amateur beekeeper and visual creator. For me, life is all about creating, learning and working with my hands.
I’ve been working in the theater world since I was 18 years old. I love diving into projects that require both physical labor and creative problem-solving.
When I’m not working, I love to read (philosophy and theology books mostly), exploring local art galleries or playing the guitar.
Thanks to my profession I am punctual, highly organized, stress-resistant, and cooperative.

Hi! I work as stage director, author and theatre dramaturg, so most of my work has a creative focus. That's why I love working with my hands in my free time, making, repairing, gardening, taking care of animals … it brings me relax and joy.
My life is always on the move, I like discovering new places and things, traveling abroad, cycling, visiting galleries, cinemas and other cultural events, but I also like to read and get to know new people and their lives (it's inspiring for me).
I've worked abroad several times in the past and it's always been a great experience, which is why I'd like to try workaway and help with your project. -

Carpentry & Construction: Years of working in theater workshops creating stage decorations means I’m comfortable with power tools, building structures and painting.
Agriculture & Animals: I regularly help my grandfather with beekeeping and around the garden growing his crops, so I’m not afraid of hard outdoor work, manual labor, or getting my hands dirty.
Digital Creativity: I handle graphic design and photography for the Theater of Diversity in Most, so I can help you with social media, taking beautiful photos of your property, or designing promotional materials.
Markéta:
I consider myself a pretty handy person, so I'm able to help with everything around the house and garden, as well as with various DIY projects. I specifically like working with wood, painting, I'm not afraid of greater physical exertion and I really enjoy learning new skills and abilities. -
