Hello!
My name is Mája, I grew up in the Czech Republic and I am currently living close to Prague.
I really like hiking and staying in nature and I enjoy minimalistic way of life (the perfect amount of personal things is what fits into a backpack :)), which is the main reason why I decided to join workaway - to have the chance to escape the "normal" life, be closer to nature and clear my mind from everything unimportant.
Moreover, I really like to play board games, read and watch movies, I play the guitar and keyboard. I enjoy good-quality time with friends as well as meeting new people, discussing and learning about different worldviews. I really like to travel, get to know new places and dive into their history and culture. Taking interesting photos of the places I visit is for me one of the best ways to relax.
My job is to coordinate educational projects for youth (mostly international ones under Erasmus+). The work combines a lot of things that I like to do - work with people, teach, inspire, travel, learn about other cultures, grow as a person and as a leader and permanently learn new things.
In April, my last work contract expired and I am taking a bit of a break in my life - travelling, learning new things, discovering. :) In May, I did my first workaway experience at a farm in Italy and it was just amazing - which motivated me to search for new people to help and new places to discover in this unique way. I love the idea of the community of people travelling and helping each other and I'm really happy that I can be a part of it.

My strongest power is that I like to learn new skills and I am a fast learner. :) I am ready to do anything that you can teach me.
I like to do work around the house, I enjoy gardening and cooking. When I was younger, we used to have a small vegetable garden at my parent's house, so I have the basic skills and knowledge of what needs to be done. I already did one workaway at a farm, which helped me to learn a more about farming.
I can do basic handy-work and I really enjoy such work - working with wood, creating new things and fixing old ones. I will for sure need your support and I am not a professional, but you won't need to teach me the basics.
I am good at photography and have some knowledge of video-making and social media - I can help you with promotion of your project.
As a professional trainer/educator/youth worker, I'm good friends with children and youth of all ages and enjoy looking after them. I am also very open to language exchange - I can help you learn any of the languages that I speak.
