Description
Kia Ora!
We are Maggie and AK, a couple from the UK/Spain and Denmark respectively. We are 29 and 30 and in NZ on a year long visa. We live in Cornwall in the South West of the UK normally and enjoy an outdoorsy and fairly sustainable lifestyle which we are keen to continue here.
We have particular interests in homesteading, permaculture and small building projects and are keen to learn more about these things. AK is also a qualified climbing instructor and outdoor pursuits youth worker and loves any chance to get involved in the aforementioned. I (Maggie) have worked in kitchens and hospitality for a long while but have been working as a labourer most recently having finished a carpentry course. I'm very interested in learning more, particularly so from a more natural building approach. I still have an abiding love of food and cooking - particularly when focused around local/home grown produce. Ak has also done some thatching work and we both help out regularly at a small organic market garden.
Both of us are relaxed and adaptable and happy to try our hand at most things. We are interested in meeting people with a similar outlook and learning as much as we possibly can from who we meet along the way.

Both of us are outdoorsy and fairly laid back. Ak is a keen climber whilst Maggie prefers her two feet firmly on the ground but loves a swim at any given opportunity.
