Hi everyone! 😊
My name is Madlaina Plattner, I’m 19 years old and from Basel, Switzerland. I recently finished my Matura (Swiss highest school diploma) and I’m currently taking a gap year before starting university. During this time, I want to explore different countries, meet new people, and gain practical experience by helping out in meaningful projects.
I love working with people and being part of a team. I would describe myself as a thoughtful, creative and open-minded person. I enjoy reflecting on different perspectives, and learning from other people’s life stories and experiences. At school, I specialized in visual arts and philosophy. In my free time, I love drawing, reading literature, writing, hiking, biking, skiing and doing sports in general. Quiet moments and creative projects inspire me and help me process my thoughts. I’m also interested in history, culture, and languages.
At the same time, I’m very motivated to contribute actively and practically. I’ve been coaching a youth floorball (Unihockey) team for several years, which taught me responsibility, teamwork, communication, and how to motivate others. I enjoy both physical tasks and those that require attention to detail.
I’m open-minded, calm, reliable, and curious to learn new things. I like being active but I’m also happy to help with calm, detailed or repetitive tasks when needed.
I’m really looking forward to meeting new people, improving my language skills, and experiencing different ways of living and working together!
