Hello!

My name is Luke, I am a hard working yet easy going and kind 25 year old. In August 2023 I am taking an 18 Month break from my Career as a medic (Paramedic) within the Military. This career has given me many attributes as well as a sense of adventure.

Due to my background I am very robust, hard working and can be relied upon to complete a task independently or in a team no matter how new it is to me. I absolutely love learning new skills be that physical or academic. I find a lot of happiness in the progression of these skills! ( I am currently learning Spanish )

I am a low maintenance individual who will just get the job done. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty or to take on tasks outside of my remit. I will often find fun in even the most monotonous or filthy jobs. I will sleep anywhere and eat anything. I really am no fuss and will always try my best to help where I am needed!

I am on a spiritual journey of finding out what exactly I want from life as well as just sitting back and enjoying it.

I will be flying into Bogotoa in August with my touring bike and plan to cycle to different places and work/ help others on the way. My general direction is south but I will see where I go! I am particulary interested in seeing the Amazon.

I hope to meet as many like minded people as possible and help you out if you need it!

I have spent 9 years in the Military as a medic and have successfully passed multiple arduous courses during this period which means I can be undoubtedly relied upon in tough and high pressure situations. (Hopefully we don't find ourselves in too many of these)

My skills.

Experienced medic in trauma as well as a small amount of primary healthcare.

Strong, confident instructor-

I have taught both Medicine and physical training at a high standard all over the world. I am used to teaching host nations who speak either little or no English (Sometimes using an interpreter) this means I am patient and able to adapt whatever I am teaching and articulate myself in a way others can understand.

Physical training instructor -

I am able to teach fitness classes to various ages and experienced people. Including a good amount of Olympic lifting and a small amount of yoga, breathing exercises and meditation classes. ( I can learn more of these skills prior to arriving if required)

Competent swimmer - Able to teach if required

Good cook

Able to work in small or large teams with austere environments.

My most valuable skill is that I learn fast. I would potentially be able to learn and then teach the new skill back to others in a small amount of time.
