Description
Hello, we are Lucy and Pat, a couple from Bristol, UK. Pat was a human rights lawyer and Lucy was a carer, lorry driver and herbalist until a month ago.
We are both taking a break from our busy jobs to learn more about farming and herbs; but also exploring Bulgaria and surrounding countries. We are both keen to return to a more rural life which we have grown up with.
Lucy is looking to re-strengthen her relationship with plants in a more hands on role since qualifying as a herbalist around a year ago which involved a lot of reading and not much growing.
Pat is wanting to learn more about growing in a sustainable and small-scale setting and hoping to bring this back to the UK and to combine it with Lucy's herbal practice.
We both love reading, particularly walking/travel/ecological books. We both also love walking, outdoor swimming, generally being in nature. Lucy does tai chi, Pat climbs.
Lucy speaks some Spanish/Italian and Pat speaks some French. -

What else ...
We both love folk music and going to folk sessions here in the UK and would love to get involved / learn about folk music in Bulgaria / wider Balkan area. Pat has tried to learn the fiddle so would be interested in getting better at that. Pat also loves folklore and local mythology and would really like to learn about this wherever he is. Pat also love wild camping and being outside as much as possible and writes lots of Poetry.
Similarly, Lucy also loves folk and mythology especially if it's plant related. She is also interested in ethnobotany, anthropology and languages. Lucy enjoys cooking and is excited to learn new recipes from her travels. She also loves trucks - especially old HGV's and is looking forward to driving through europe. -
