    Description

I’m based in Ruaka, Nairobi, a perfect blend of city life and calm suburb vibes. I love how close we are to nature and adventure, just 15 minutes drive from the beautiful Karura Forest, a short drive to the tea plantations of Tigoni, and only minutes from top attractions like Nairobi National Park, the Giraffe Centre, and Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

I’m starting a travel group that brings people together to explore Kenya’s hidden gems, from chasing waterfalls and going on safaris to discovering local cultures and enjoying the simple beauty of everyday adventures. I’d love to host someone who’s excited to share ideas, help create fun group activities like yoga sessions or cultural dances, and join in as we capture these moments for social media. You don’t have to be an expert just bring your creativity, curiosity, and love for travel. We’ll plan, explore, and grow together.
It’s a collaborative space you don’t need to know everything; we’ll learn and grow together. I love connecting with people, exploring new places, and creating meaningful travel experiences.
Currently I hire local drivers and tour guides who assist in organizing and running trips.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You’ll get to experience local life with us! I live with my sister, and we love sharing our culture through food, music, and everyday experiences. We’ll take you to the local markets, teach you how to cook some of our favorite Kenyan dishes, and show you the best spots for street food. On weekends, we might go for local concerts, football or rugby games, or just hang out exploring new places around Nairobi.
In exchange, I’d love to learn from your culture too your way of life, your food, your language, and your creative ideas.

You’ll be helping me bring the travel group to life by sharing creative ideas and supporting with social media, content creation, and marketing. This could include helping plan and promote upcoming trips, capturing photos or videos during our adventures, and brainstorming fun, engaging ways to showcase what we do online.

We’ll also work together to create group experiences , things like yoga or wellness sessions, cultural exchanges, or community visits so there’s a nice mix of creative and hands-on activities. It’s a very collaborative environment where we can both share our skills and learn from each other. Whether you’re into storytelling, design, or just love meeting people and exploring new places, you’ll fit right in!

I live in a two-bedroom house with my sister. We share one room, and the Workawayer will have the spare bedroom all to themselves. The house has a shared kitchen, living room, and washroom area. it’s a simple but comfortable setup that feels like home.
Our neighborhood is very safe, with 24/7 security guards, and it’s conveniently located close to shops, restaurants, and transport options. We love sharing meals and usually cook together, but you’re also free to use the kitchen anytime if you’d like to make your own food.

    What else ...

During your free time, there’s plenty to explore nearby! Just 5 minutes from the house, you can visit a beautiful local waterfall perfect for a short nature escape. We’re also close to major malls like Two Rivers, Village Market, and Rosslyn Riviera, where you can shop, eat out, or catch a movie. Karura Forest is only a short drive away if you’d like to go for a walk, bike ride, or simply connect with nature.
We’ll be happy to help you find the best and safest transport options, whether that’s local buses, motorbikes, or ride-hailing apps like Uber and Bolt.
At home, we like to keep things relaxed and respectful . We share common spaces, keep the house tidy, and are mindful of each other’s routines. You’ll have plenty of freedom, but we really value good communication and a positive, friendly vibe in the house.
