Description
I've been on Workaway for almost ten years, in which I have been both a volunteer and a host. I'm a conscientious worker and love to do everything the best I can. I get easily absorbed by the work I do, no matter how hard or physical. I'm somewhat methodical but I enjoy creative tasks in a particular way. I have good experience in hostels, hotels, farm stays and restaurants.
In Italy I work as an English teacher (certified Cambridge CELTA). I'm a real language nerd and I'm always up for a good language exchange (a topic that carries me away quite easily).
I can cook most italian dishes ;) , I like to learn about local food everywhere I go and in general I love to try anything that's traditional.
I'm a sociable being, but I often need some time in solitude to recharge. I make electronic music, I collect sounds with a portable microphone, and I love to talk about and discover new music and art. I love coding and maps, all maps, paper maps, digital maps etc...
I speak Italian, English, Russian and Swedish, but I can understand written Norwegian and Danish quite well. I believe in cultural exchange as the key to a more connected world; teaching and interpreting are my small contribution to this vision.
