Description

My name is Jonatan (but you can call me Jon). I’m 34 years old, and for the past eight years, I’ve been working with wood in various forms – always with passion and curiosity.

I hold a bachelor’s degree and a journeyman certificate in cabinet making. Most recently, I completed two years of education in luthiery at the Music Instrument Academy (Musikinstrumentskademien), where I built five different guitars – two classical, one steel-string, one archtop, and one electric.

I’ve also worked at KFK Snickeri and Modana Form, where I gained a lot of experience in quality craftsmanship, efficient workflows, and having fun while creating with wood.

I enjoy working with both my hands and my head. I like to stay curious, to inspire and be inspired. That’s what I hope to find (and bring!) in a Workaway experience with you.

• Woodworking – I have professional experience as a cabinet maker and luthier. I’m confident working with both hand tools and machines, and I enjoy building, repairing, and creating with wood.
• Cooking – I’m not a professional, but I enjoy cooking and love learning new recipes and techniques. I’m happy to help out in the kitchen and always curious to improve.
• Tiling – I have some hands-on experience with tiling and am comfortable assisting with related renovation tasks.

Aside from playing guitar and building things, I enjoy spending time in nature – hiking, camping, or just walking and taking it all in. I love meeting new people, exchanging stories and ideas, and finding moments to both relax and stay active.

I might be a bit overly respectful of people’s personal space and privacy (as a typical Swede), but I’m always curious and happy to try new things.
