Description
Hi there, my name is Leonie and I am currently a student in Mannheim, Germany. A friend told me about Workaway and I instantly downloaded the app because I have always wanted to live on a farm together with a native family and get to know their lifestyle and and how a typical day goes. I have already spent 9 months abroad in a boarding school in the UK and had one great work away stay at an animal sanctuary during my gap year in Australia after finishing my A-Levels. I like to read, cook (especially bake) and just try new things and get to know different cultures and lifestyles. Also I love doing any kind of sport and have also played handball for 2 years now and love horse riding. I am really looking forward to my next work away experience and can't wait to travel again!

I have played handball for 4.5 years now so I am physically fit and don't mind hard work. I really like to work with animals or with other people as a team and get things done because if I feel like I have achieved something during the day, I can really enjoy my free time in the evening or the next free day. I like to cook and bake, especially try out new recipes and to clean as I like when everything is tidy and in order. At home, I have often helped my father with gardening so therefore I have some experience in that as well. As I have been riding for almost 6 years in total, I have experience with horses and would also really enjoy taking care of and working with them.
