Hi! My name is Lars and im from a small island in northern Norway, but have been studying landscape architecture in Oslo for the last three years. This next year i will be taking a break from my studies to travel, as im hoping to gain new perspectives that can't be obtained in the (relative) comfort of a lecture hall!

Im a fairly calm person, and enjoy hiking, reading, baking/cooking, listening to music (and sometimes playing it poorly). Though im calm, and rarely the loudest person in the room, I still get a lot of energy from spending time with others, and getting to know new people!

Through Workaway im hoping to connect with new people and cultures in ways that i can't through traditional travel, hopefully learning more about nature, different ways of living, and myself in the process! :)

Though im not an expert in anything i have som basic knowledge in ecology, and working with the landscape. I've done some planting and pruning, and learned some (very basic) carpentry through building a bench, and helping construct a pavillion during a workshop. I've also helped a bit at my grandparents farm, mostly some painting work, and shoveling hay.

During the summer holiday i'll be working at a tourist cabin in Norway, where i'll get experience working in hospitality. My tasks will include reception work, housekeeping, manning the cafe, and serving dinner.

I also have some experience with photography and graphic design from highschool, and can help with general digital/computer issues if necessary!

I am not a vegetarian, but eat plant based a lot of the time, and i'm happy to adapt my diet during my stays! I also drink alcohol on occasions, but i have no trouble abstaining if preferred!
