Description
Hi I'm Kyle, a 25 year old from England who's motivated by knowledge, achievement and joy. This means I'm most content when learning new things, working towards a goal and spending time with good people, which is why I love doing Workaways...
I'm planning to travel around South America from Jan 2026 and I'd love to find some cool Workaway experiences over there! I recently finished a TEFL course, so I'd be very interested in volunteering as an English teacher.
In 2024 I finished a Masters Degree in Biology. My studies covered Biodiversity, Ecology, Immunology and Parasitology and my final project focused on pesticides and Bumblebees. I have also worked in many customer sevice jobs from a young age, because I always knew I wanted to travel. After graduating, I spent 6 months volunteering at a nature reserve in Brazil's Atlantic Rainforest, researching bioluminescent mushrooms! It was the perfect blend of science and outdoor activity. Whilst there, I was able to visit many amazing caves, beaches and waterfalls across Southern Brazil and meet volunteers from all over the world.
After that I did numerous Workaways all over France, attempting to immerse myself in the language and culture. I aimed to improve my french skills. It kind of worked, but I still have a long way to go haha. Some of the tasks at my Workaways so far included gardening, farming, painting, construction, cooking and cleaning.
As for my interests, I tend to go on daily walks in nature and some of my favourite hobbies are reading, gardening, learning about new areas of Biology and listening to music (mainly alternative R&B). I'm also very into fitness and enjoy weightlifting, hiking, swimming and tennis!

- I have an academic background (Biology), native English speaker, Intermediate French, TEFL qualified
- Whilst I'm no builder, I do have experience with painting and decorating, power tools, timber construction, cementing, clearing rubble etc
- Gardning, farming and permaculture experience from Workaway and Nature Reserve volnteering
-I have worked in many customer service roles including retail, a waiter in a restaurant and pubs, and a shelf-filler and cashier in a supermarket. As a result I have skills in cleaning, food handling, customer service, communication and multi-tasking.
