Description

Reading the project profiles on this site I really get happy. This because of all the diverse initiatives, positive places and people.
I can describe myself as an openminded and optimistic person who wants to learn and is open to new experiences and people.
Since I m a pensionado it feels as a luxury that I have the change to do all kind of new and different things I have experienced that workaway is a great way of doing this.

My skills lie mostly in the social and organization areas. I ve worked in differnet positions in the care and support of people with an intellectual disability such as providing support, managing, coaching and training teams, acting as a confidential advisor for clients and referring service.
Where I used to work mostly with my head and inside, I now enjoy working with my hands and being outside.
I volunteer for different community garden projects in my city. One is an educational garden; another is a citygarden where all the produce from the garden is intended for a soup kitchen and the food bank.
The work I do is divers and depending on the season and what is needed. I learn so much and I want to learn so much more.
Additionally, I have been volunteering at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) (at the infodesk) for years, and until 2011 I was active for many years at an organisation for gender-diverse children and their parents.

In December, I spent 10 days with Hillary, Leo and Arya. This was a wonderful experience.
Hillary is a warm and engaging person. Her delicious meals were accompanied by good conversation, wine, games and laughter.
