    Description

We are a Daniëlle and Jürgen, a Dutch German couple in their late fifties who, in summer 2020 on holiday together with their 3 children, fell for an abandoned house in the Marche region. The house was a ruin but we saw a new future here for us with peace and quiet, friendly people around, wide views, some land for trees and a vegetable garden, even our own little forest. The whole family voted for it and with the help of great craftsmen from the village we started the restoration, slowly slowly and sometimes with a big step forward. The house is still being restored, but last year we already made the move and translocated here with our youngest son Rauli, who is also the tallest, and our 2 cats Bob and Bibi. Since end of August we have a new family member Bosco, who is a very friendly, enthusiastic and stubborn Bernese mountain dog.
Our hope is to receive guests in our home (B&B like) in the nearby future and later rent also 2 apartments that are still under construction.
We are dedicated to transform our place, into an oasis where you can find back to who you are and where you belong to.
With our mix of Daniëlle being a Psychologist, Florist arranger and Yoga Teacher and Jürgen being a Shipbuilder and Mechanical Engineer who worked most of his life as independent consultant in the bicycle industry, we have developed an independent and respectful lifestyle. We can embrace almost everybody and everything. We are good hearted people enjoying the most if we can be hospitable and spoiling. We are good hosts, good cooks, decent bakers. We love simple and original places, where things are created from the heart. In our neighbourhood we know excellent craftsmen, farmers, cheesemakers, that we can visit with you, showing you the traditional Italian way of life
We travelled a lot, also with our children, mostly in Asian countries, but also to Central and South America. And being a bilingual family we have an eye for cultural peculiarities as well as the uniqueness of each individual. We love the Italian art of creating good moments, the dutch straightness, the german preciseness, the asian way of doing things with attention and in a beautiful way. We learn from the cultures we visit and the people we meet. We love the encounters with people from all over the world and are looking forward to welcome them to our new home in Italy, where we can do tasks together, enjoy free time and meals and talk about life and our passions.

  • Help

    Help

We can use some help with creating a wooden deck, with maintaining our new (!) vegetable garden, mowing around the house and tidying the forest and shrubs which were left to themselves for almost 40 years. There might be still some tasks to do inside like painting a single wall.
We did not start our B&B yet, if we do in the near future, you will not be involved in that part of our activities.
Most of the time we will do tasks together, sometimes you will be on your own for a few hours.
If you have skills or knowledge to share with us, to make our place better, you are very welcome to do so as we will share with you our knowledge and experience.

    Accommodation

We offer 2 bedrooms: one with 2 single beds, one with one double bed. There are 2 bathrooms. Bathrooms are shared.
We cook meals in our kitchen and eat together at a big table inside or outside on the terrace if possible.
Not everything in and around the house is finished yet as you can see on the pictures. We are still making cupboards in the big kitchen, painting some walls and finishing one bathroom. The house is already very livable and cosy .

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We live in a quiet rural environment. Some (little) towns (Cingoli, Macerata, Treia, San Severino, Jesi) and villages, old and pittoresk are nearby. You can have long walks around here, there is a beautiful area with a small waterfall and another with a big lake. Monte San Vicino has impressive nature, among others a big beech forest. We are in between the Monte Sibbilini and the coast (Ancona, Sirolo, Porto Recanati). Public transport is limited. It is possible to travel to the coast and several towns by bus.
