Description
Hi! I'm Kimi and I'm from the Thuringian Forest in Germany. I grew up surrounded by forests and nature, so I have always enjoyed being outside, going for walks and hiking. I really love being in nature and discovering new places.
I would describe myself as a calm, open-minded and curious person. I can be a little shy at first, but I usually warm up quite quickly. I like meeting new people and learning about different ways of living. I also enjoy learning new things and trying things I haven't done before.
I have always loved animals. At home we have ten guinea pigs, and we used to have two cats and a rabbit. We also have fish. I would be very happy to work with animals or spend time around them.
I also like creative things. I enjoy drawing and I do some embroidery, although I'm still a beginner :)
I like learning new skills, and I would also love to learn some practical or craft skills during my Workaway experiences.
I'm happy to help with practical work and don't mind getting my hands dirty. I like being useful and helping where I can. I also enjoy cooking, even though not everything I make turns out perfectly
I have two younger sisters, who are 6 and 15 years old, so I'm used to having children around me. I get along well with kids and enjoy spending time with them, especially when they are a little older, but I'm also happy to help with younger children.
After my Work & Travel year in New Zealand, I would like to study botany. This is one of the reasons why I would love to spend time in different natural environments and learn more about plants and nature.
I'm doing Workaway because I don't just want to see a country as a tourist. I would like to experience everyday life, meet local people, help out where I can and learn new things. I think staying with people and being part of their everyday life is a much more personal way to travel.
I'm vegetarian, but I'm very easy-going about food and I don't expect hosts to change what they normally cook. I'm happy to eat the vegetarian parts or side dishes if needed.
German is my native language and I'm comfortable speaking English. I also know a little French but not very well.
I'm looking forward to meeting new people, learning new things! -
