Hello! My name is Katie, I graduated university last year where I studied Geography with a big focus on agriculture and food! I've always grown vegetables in my back garden with my family in London and set up a simple vegetable garden at my school as well but would love to learn more permaculture practices as well as what it's like to grow food in different climates.

I am new to Workaway but I am very interested in alternative travel and all the new things you can learn from it - I have hitchiked and couchsurfed throughout Chile and Morocco as well as back home in the UK. but I am looking for something more long-term and rural with a focus on sustainability and farming. I am determined to avoid flights and have made it to the desert of Morocco from London by land and sea and will head back via Spain the same way!

I am a quick learner and love taking on tasks like gardening, building, cooking, painting etc. I look forward to all the new things I will learn through helping people out.
