Hey! 👋
My name is Karen, I'm 31 years old and I'm French.
When I was a student, I had the chance to live in Dublin for 5 months. Since then, I can't stop travelling! I lived in Iceland for a year and in New Zealand for 3 months, and I did a couple of solo trips in Europe.
I'm working as an international officer in higher education and I'm also trained as a French language teacher. In early 2026, I will start a university diploma in English teaching. I would be more than happy to help with languages (French or English) while travelling the world through Workaway.
I'm curious, willing to help and discover new things, so I'm open to any kind of tasks. I can help with animals, with indoor tasks such as cleaning or organizing stuff, and outdoor tasks like gardening or picking fruits. I'm not the best cook (my partner is the one cooking at home!) but I would be happy to help with cooking or to prepare a French dish during my stay.
I'm easy going, calm and reliable. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, chilling by a lake or the sea, reading, going on city trips and trying new food.

I have some years of experience in administrative work and I have managed the social media accounts of an NGO for a year - I am able to create and plan posts for a professional account.
I have had experiences in catering: I had a summer job in school canteen when I was a student, and I was a volunteer in Florli4444 (Norway), helping out in the café to clean dishes and tables.
I have had experiences in tourism, in a small theme park, welcoming guests and taking care of the attractions.
I'd be happy to help out with indoor and outdoor tasks and to develop new skills! I love animals and I'd love to take care of dogs or cats.
