Hey! 👋
My name is Karen, I'm 31 years old and I'm French. I live in the north of France with my partner and our two cats. I work as international officer in higher education and I teach languages (French and English). My professional goal is to become a freelance language teacher and I'm working towards it for 2027.
I had the chance to live in Dublin for 5 months when I was a student, to live a year in Iceland as a volunteer, and to spend 3 months in New Zealand more recently. I love travelling during my free time and I did a couple of solo trips in Europe, mainly in the Nordic countries.
I joined Workaway to continue explore the world while meeting locals, being useful and gaining new skills. I'm curious, willing to help and discover new things, so I'm open to any kind of tasks. I can help with animals, with indoor tasks such as cleaning or organizing stuff, and outdoor tasks like gardening or picking fruits. I'm not the best cook (my partner is the one cooking at home!) but I would be happy to help with cooking or to prepare a French dish during my stay.
I'm easy going, calm and reliable. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, chilling by a lake or the sea, reading, going on city trips and trying new food.
