  • Description

We are Julia and Antonin, a French couple who met at school three years ago. Since then, we’ve been growing together, building plans for our future.
At one point, we had two choices:

Stay in France, get stable jobs (a CDI) and an apartment,
Or… pack our bags and discover the world while we can.
We chose the second option ✈️ because we felt this was the right time to take a risk, to learn, and to experience life in a new way.

    Why Australia? 🇦🇺
We will arrive in Melbourne on the morning of November 26th with our Working Holiday Visa. For us, Australia is the perfect mix: nature, culture, and opportunities to meet people from around the world.
Our English is not the same for both of us: one of us feels a bit more comfortable, the other is more shy. Overall, we would say our level is “average.” This is exactly why we want to start with woofing: living with locals, practicing every day, and learning not just the language but also the values and lifestyle.

    Our passions
We both love animals and would be very happy to take care of them
We enjoy cooking (especially French food we’d love to share with you)
We like spending time outdoors: gardening, working in nature, walking
We’re creative (one of us is a graphic designer), and we enjoy art, music, and simple exchanges

    Our goal 🙌
We want more than just a place to stay. We are looking for:
A chance to learn skills and share our energy
An environment where we can improve our English and gain confidence
Experiences that will help us later find more rewarding and meaningful work during our year in Australia
We may arrive with simple words, but we come with open hearts, strong motivation, and the desire to connect.

  • More details about your skills

We don’t have professional farming backgrounds, but we do have useful experiences and, most of all, a strong motivation to learn and help.

Animals: We both grew up with animals at home, so we are confident looking after them (feeding, walking, cleaning, giving care and attention).

Gardening: Not our daily activity, but we know the basics (watering, planting, weeding) and are happy to work outdoors.

Household help: Julia has been working for two years in a hostel, taking care of cleaning, service, and making sure guests feel welcome. We are both responsible and used to keeping spaces tidy and organized.

Cooking: We are not professional cooks, but we are motivated to learn. One of us enjoys baking cakes, and we would love to improve our skills in preparing meals.

Childcare: We have already taken care of children before, so we are comfortable with babysitting or helping families with kids.

DIY & creativity: We enjoy small projects like painting, simple repairs, and trying DIY tasks.
We may not arrive as experts, but we come with real experiences, energy, and the desire to learn and contribute.

    23 & 24

  • What else ...

Julia comes from the coast of Normandy, near the D-Day beaches. She is very interested in history and loves walking along the seaside. Antonin lives in the countryside, where he often goes for long walks with his dog.

Antonin enjoys sports mainly badminton, and he also practiced a bit of boxing in the past. Julia has done swimming and dance for many years, and both of us enjoy staying active.

Together, we share many hobbies: we love going to the cinema, discovering different gastronomic cultures, and playing board games (we own quite a few!). We are also big film enthusiasts, so we would be happy to talk about movies with our hosts.

Above all, we are very open-minded and curious, and we enjoy learning new things from people with different backgrounds and lifestyles.
