Hello! Szia! Hola! :) My name is Julia, and I was born in the United States, although I am also half-Hungarian. I have been extremely lucky to have been able to visit my grandparents in Hungary almost every summer and immerse myself in their way of life in a small, rural town where everyone has a flourishing garden and bikes everywhere. Growing up with family both in the USA and in Hungary has deeply shaped me as a person, from valuing cultural differences to the importance of communicating through different languages, and my love for cultural exchange, travel, and connecting with locals.
Following what excites me, trusting this gut feeling, and taking action to pursue it, is what truly brings me happiness. I love connecting with people, immersing myself in different cultures and ways of life, learning new languages, and spending time outdoors. I love learning new things and engaging in a variety of tasks.

I want to learn more languages! With my diverse international experience as an English and Spanish teacher, I have learned many cool and fun ways to teach languages, and I want to use my life as a way to experiment, exchange with others, practice, and fine-tune my teaching skills, so that I can learn other languages, help others learn languages, and simultaneously continue to develop my skills in teaching and language exchange.

In university I studied Spanish and Environmental Ethics & Policy. I know three languages really well, and I want to learn more throughout my life! I have diverse experiences teaching languages. I have taught English abroad in public schools both in Granada, Spain (while studying abroad there) and in Las Palmas, Spain. I have also taught English in a sleep-away summer camp in Kecskemét, Hungary. Through these experiences, I have developed my ability to adapt to different cultural environments and adjust my teaching in order to connect most with and help the people I am working with. In university, I was a Spanish tutor, and in high school, I was an advanced writing tutor. During university, I also had a variety of jobs from working in the aquaponics greenhouse to tutoring Spanish, collaborating with another university as a language conversation partner, co-leading the university running club, and working as a mediator between a graduate business class and the local park's non-profit in order to work together and increase park inclusivity and events. In addition to my language and teaching skills, I also am very knowledgeable on many environmental topics and live my life in a very conscious way connected to my personal values. I love working with people, I have great communication skills, I'm very adaptable, open, and I thrive in multi-cultural spaces. I am also a very quick learner, creative, organized, and self-aware.

- urban green design: finding ways to create green spaces within cities, creating spaces of healing and community
- dancing: I love learning new dances and connecting with others through movement. I especially love Kizomba and Tarraxo, although I also know swing, salsa, and bachata
- food: I love experiencing culture and creating unforgettable experiences through food and sharing food and also finding creative ways to veganize traditional cultural foods; I also love growing fresh foods, especially within cities
- music: I would love to develop my skills in hand drumming! and just in general regarding musical rhythms and beats
