  • Description

Chaya: I am an educator from the west coast of Canada who is very passionate about my love of the outdoors. I work as an outdoor educator and build/run programming for youth of all ages in my island community. I have lots of interests including freediving, underwater photography, hiking, watercolour painting and working with kids. Likewise, I have been travelling on and off in Central America for the past 4 years and want to further my experience by volunteering and educating. Furthermore, I am able to teach and communicate easily in English and ASL, (American Sign Language), and am currently learning Spanish.
Jack: Hello, I have been volunteering since I was a young teenager, and I am wanting to further my experiences in different countries outside my own, (Canada). I hope to bring my love of music, art, personal growth and community to whatever program I volunteer for. You will find that I am a strong, hardworking, fun-loving and grounded person, and I am excited to meet new people, learn from other cultures/communities and expand my own knowledge base.

  • What else ...

We are both avid hikers and love anything from a walk around town to a multi day hike. We are both active people and love to work out, swim, climb, learn martial arts and in general use our bodies. Furthermore, we also both love music and Jack in particular is a musician who plays guitar and being a singer/songwriter.
