Description
Hey, I’m Jack from Portugal. I’m currently on a big road trip with my van, a T4, an old Transporter named Izabella, and I usually sleep in it. I enjoy meeting people along the way, sharing experiences, and lending a hand wherever I can. I’m positive, relaxed, easygoing, friendly, and open-minded.
I love almost any kind of music, I also really enjoy dancing whenever the opportunity arises, a good morning coffee, hiking in nature, and simple people.
I enjoy building and creating, especially with wood, and also fixing things when needed.
I can even handle small constructions involving a bit of concrete, I’ve done a few of those.
I have a good intuition for electronic and electrical devices. I can explain a bit about ChatGPT and artificial intelligence, and also help with computers in general.
For me, volunteering is a meaningful opportunity to meet people and communities, share knowledge and experiences, learn.
And a great opportunity to make new friendships. I'm vegetarian and drink very little alcohol.

More details about your skills
Skills and Abilities:
● Hands-on work, building and creating, especially with wood
●Fixing things when needed, for example, I maintain and repair my own van independently, and I have a strong passion for machines, mechanics, electricity, and electronics
● Small constructions, including light concrete work
● Understanding and assisting with various machines and electrical products, including pumps and water systems
● Creative problem-solving in different situations
● Ability to invent and create new products
● Cooking, I love to cook and host.
● Computer support
● Explaining ChatGPT and Ai.
Important Notes:
I do not have an electrician or mechanic license, so tasks requiring professional licensing are not within my responsibility.
I work excellently in a team, my approach is open, and I enjoy learning new things. I am comfortable with basic cleaning and simple household tasks, but I prefer to focus on tasks that allow me to use my skills and abilities.
What else ...
Logistics & Comfort: I can happily sleep in my minivan, so accommodation isn’t necessary unless otherwise agreed. I do appreciate a clean shower and toilet, and reliable mobile/internet reception where I sleep.
Aligning Expectations: Before arrival, I would appreciate a WhatsApp call to clearly align expectations.
I’m vegetarian (eat eggs and a little cheese, mainly vegetables and fruits) and usually don’t drink alcohol, but I’ll happily join for a toast.

Jacob came as a saving angel when my husband suddenly had to leave due to illness in the family. He came for a few weeks but ended up staying four months. He simply became part of the family.
He lived with us and worked with us but kept a good balane between personal space and closeness.
