Hallo! Ik ben Iza (26) en woon momenteel in Nederland. Sinds mijn verblijf in Hemmingford, Québec – waar ik als Workawayer werkte op een biologische bloemenboerderij – is mijn perspectief op landbouw en bewust leven sterk veranderd. Ik heb gezien hoeveel impact tijd en zorg kunnen hebben op de manier waarop we naar de wereld kijken en omgaan en tegelijkertijd ook met elkaar. Het is mooi om te zien dat steeds meer mensen bewust bezig zijn met duurzaam leven, maar het blijft voor velen ook een zoektocht naar nieuw en soms onbekend terrein. Ik ben blij dat ik als mens en filmmaker hier mijn bijdragen aan kan geven om toch op een bepaalde manier nieuwe kennis te kunnen overdragen.

For the past ten years, I have worked extensively in hospitality, an environment where I encountered a wide range of people and stories. This experience sharpened my ability to read people, adapt to different situations, and connect on a human level.

Alongside this, I studied theatre and later pursued a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. Both disciplines gave me the space to explore storytelling in multiple forms and strengthened my interest in observing, listening, and translating human experiences into narrative.

During my journalism studies, I discovered film as a medium and quickly fell in love with its ability to create intimacy and emotional depth. Film became my way of connecting more deeply with people—understanding their beliefs, perspectives, and inner worlds.

I am also deeply passionate about arts and culture, and I continue to explore how creative practices can foster connection and reflection. In 2023, I worked with people facing mental health challenges, collaborating on a small vegetable garden. This project showed me how a calm, shared space can support well-being, growth, and a sense of belonging—an experience that continues to influence my work and perspective.

Traveling has given me a lot of new friends. I got to know so many wonderful people and it made me realize that you can learn a lot from each other if you’re open for it.

I am excited where my journey is going further and who I am gonna meet!
