Hi! We are Isa and Javi. For the last six years we have been the creators behind La Casa Verde, the most charming hostel in Murcia, Spain. Now, we are looking for new adventures.

Together we've held various positions in different jobs. We've traveled around the world volunteering and working in many fields.

We're multitaskers, capable of any type of work. We adapt to any situation and lifestyle. We love learning about different cultures, as well as sharing and living with other people, always with a good attitude, respect and empathy.

The tasks performed over the last years at La Casa Verde Hostel have been very varied, as this type of work requires versatility:

Housekeeping: Room cleaning, keeping the common areas clean, organized, comfortable, and safe for our guests.
Maintenance: small repairs, fixing electricity problems, carpentry, gardening and painting.
Decorating: One of our speciality is Interior design, beautify the surrounding space with murals, using different tecniques.
Reception and administrative tasks: such as using different channel managers and booking platforms, managing cash, organizing daily work, and leading the work team.
Social media and Comunity Manager: Among the hostel's tasks, we also took care of the digital world, working on social media and advertising events at the bar.
Conflict resolution experts: In a hostellife we had to deal with all types of guests and situations, this has allowed us to grow and improve in this area.
Order management and logistics: at the hostel, we sold drinks and breakfast. We also had to manage cleaning orders.
Customer service: with the best and warmest treatment to our guests.

**I'm Javier from Mexico. I have been travelling around the world for almost five years.

I have completed several jobs, as an Italian teacher, hardware technician, receptionist, lumberjack,interior designer, gardener, construction worker, also worked on a goat farm in Switzerland, so you can be sure that I can adapt to many different tasks and environments!

If I don't know how to do something yet, I will have no problem to find a way to solve it.
I also have a degree in computer science, and took some courses of graphic design so I can help you with that too!
I'm an open-minded guy, ready to learn new things and hear about other peoples views on life.

**I'm Isa. For the last six years, I've been working in Murcia, my hometown in southern Spain. I've been running the city's most beautiful hostel.

I studied social work, working with people at risk of exclusion and volunteering in this field. At 30, I took my first big backpacking trip through Southeast Asia and Japan, discovering my greatest passion for travel and hospitality. I've worked in small commerce, babysitter, gardening, and finally tourism, my favorite field, offering hospitality and warmth to travelers. I'm organized, responsible, and committed to what I do. I always try to give my best!

*UPDATE*
We have been traveling through Italy since May and have completed three Workaway stays. We did two in the north: one at a house in Lombardía involving vegetable garden work, garden maintenance, house cleaning and minor household repairs. Another in Piemonte renovating an old house.
Currently we are in Sardegna at a beautiful agriturismo, where we are doing farm work and cleaning apartments.

Besides working, there are many other things that interest us:

We both come from large families, so we enjoy the hustle and bustle, but we also enjoy our chilled-out moments and tranquility.

We prefer the countryside and nature to the city.

We loves outdoor activities, both at the sea and in the mountains.

We have traveled toghether around: Spain, Swiss, Italy, Slovenia, Morocco, Mexico, Cuba, Colombia and Kenya. One of the places we liked the most was the Colombian Amazonía.We have a van that we have also used for long trips and retreats.

Javi: I like art, painting and poetry, and we can discuss movies, books, and life in general.

Isa: I love music, read, animals, films and documentaries about the life and reality in other parts of the world.
