Description
Experienced Taiwanese Traveler & Cultural Exchange Volunteer Exploring South America
Hello! I’m Vita from Taiwan 😊
I have a background in tourism, hospitality, environmental education, and cross-cultural communication. I studied in the Netherlands and have traveled independently across 37 countries, always enjoying learning from different cultures and ways of life.
After many years of work and family responsibilities, I decided to begin a meaningful slow-travel journey in South America to learn Spanish, experience local culture, and reconnect with a simpler and more balanced lifestyle that would support my future career.
I enjoy community living and can help with:
• welcoming guests or students
• tourism & hospitality support
• cultural exchange activities
• Chinese translation or Asian market insights
• social media or travel-related content
• healthy home cooking and daily community life
I am independent, calm, adaptable, tidy, and easy to communicate with. Although I am still a beginner in Spanish, I am highly motivated to learn and enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds.
I especially hope to join projects related to language learning, tourism, sustainability, education, yoga/meditation, or meaningful local community experiences. -

More details about your skills
I have experience in tourism, hospitality, environmental education, and cross-cultural communication.
For many years, I worked in international group travel and guest services, and I also taught tourism and communication-related subjects at university level in Taiwan. I enjoy working with people from different cultural backgrounds and creating warm, welcoming environments.
I also have experience volunteering in Taiwan’s national parks and community projects, especially related to environmental education and local cultural activities.
One of the most meaningful parts of my life was spending 17 years caring for my aging parents. Through that experience, I learned patience, empathy, emotional resilience, and the importance of creating a warm and supportive atmosphere for the people around me. It also inspired my interest in healthy cooking, mindful living, and the Chinese philosophy of “food as medicine” from Chinese Traditional Medicine.
Although I am still a beginner in Spanish, I am highly motivated to learn and fully immerse myself in local culture during my South America journey. -
