Description
Hello to all, and to all: HELLO!
Our names are Holly & Will!
We are both huge outdoor lovers from England and have spent the last few winter seasons ski instructing around the world. Together we enjoy ski touring, hiking, yoga, golf (Will’s got a handicap of 2!), rock climbing and spending time in nature! We also love board games and have recently become very competitive at table tennis:)
We met whilst teaching in Canada and then spent the summer season landscaping together in Vancouver, where our love for gardening and sustainable farming grew. We are now both keen to learn more about permaculture and sustainable living, and would love to contribute to local communities, while learning as much as we can.
The past few years we have worked whilst travelling around Canada, France and New Zealand. Now we are in Japan for a year and wish to fully immerse ourselves in everyday life out here, seeking meaningful experiences that combine our love for the environment with cultural exchange. We are looking forward to learning more of the language, spending time in regional areas and participating in community activities.
About Will:
- CSIA Level 3 Ski Instructor and CADS level 1 (Canadian Adaptive Snow sports)
- Experience teaching children
- Landscaping experience (pruning, planting, mowing, hedge trimming, edgers, mulching, sodding and aerating lawns)
- Team manager of an independent cleaning company
- Experience working with animals
- Experience with organic farming in New Zealand
- Chef in France
- International driver’s licence
About Holly:
- BASI Level 2 Ski Instructor and CADS level 1
- Experience teaching children
- Landscaping experience (pruning, weeding, planting, soil management, mowing, hedge trimming, mulching, sodding and aerating lawns)
- BA in Fashion Photography
- Freelance Photographer and Art lover
- Experience with admin and project management
- Practical skills including painting/decorating

What else ...
Being a freelance photographer over the past few years, I have set out on many personal projects across the countries I have travelled to; each one enriching my portfolio and my creative perspective. I am enthusiastic to explore more of the art galleries and cultural institutions in Japan and to continue developing my artistic practice through exposure to both historical and contemporary Japanese art.
