Description
Hi, I'm Lena :) I just recently found out that I don't want to do as a job what I've been studying for 5 years. Now I'm here, trying to find out what I want in and from life :)
I am a huge animal and nature lover. I grew up with dogs, and they are by far my favorite animals, but, well, I love all of them. I grew up in the German countryside, and I have always spent a lot of time outdoors and in our (vegetable) gardens. I love the woods, to observe, to listen, to watch. This is my safe space. A hobby of mine is bird watching. Furthermore, I love to spend time outside in general, I read and draw/paint quite a lot and I am always up to learning. I love to dive into new hobbies, learn about new topics and to try out new things in general. I am also always down for a diy project since I love to work with materials as wood and metal. :)

I am really into languages. Therefore, I always strive to become better at those I am already speaking and open to new ones. As I pointed out in my skills, I am an English and German teacher, but I would like to focus on manual labor while my workaway stay. (Which doesn't mean that I wouldn't help with homework or something similar from time to time :))

ART - I am a pretty creative person. 2023/24 I studied Fine Art in the Netherlands for a year but had to stop for personal reasons. I can help with anything regarding Art (producing, curating, exhibiting). Furthermore, I am interested in interior design, especially when it comes to especially when it comes to cozy, rural architecture.
CRAFTS - I worked a lot with wood, especially in the last year of Uni. I built sculptures and furniture. Moreover, I occasionally do furniture makeovers. I am also quite familiar with basic construction work.
HANDICRAFT - I can sew and embroider.
EDUCATION - I am a trained teacher for German and English for secondary level.
OUTDOORS - I am not scared to get my hands dirty. I can help with any work that needs to be done, as long as it doesn't require extensive cardio skills.
ANIMAL CARE - I love animals with all my heart. I grew up near a farm and I don't have a problem with smell or poo whatsoever. I am really good with dogs specifically, and I would say, I have a natural instinct how to behave around animals in general. With some direction, I am willing to learn how to deal with all kinds of animals.

What else ...
I would say, I am a very social person. Therefore, I would be happy to join for game or movie nights. On the other hand, I also need my personal space from time to time (as everyone does I guess). Then, I like to read a book or just listen to music on my headphones. Other than that, I would be happy to tell you more about myself privately. I am super motivated and thanks for reading. :)
