Hello!

My name is Hanae, and I am from Japan.

I am currently living in Spain to study Spanish and experience life from a different perspective. After several years of working in Japan, I decided to take some time to explore the world more slowly, learn from different cultures, and step outside of my usual environment.

Professionally, I worked on a government-supported project related to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural production. This experience deepened my interest in sustainability, local communities, and mindful ways of living. I enjoy learning about how people live, work, grow food, and connect with their surroundings in different parts of the world.

I would describe myself as calm, responsible, and curious. I enjoy meaningful conversations, sharing meals, spending time in nature, and learning from people with different backgrounds. While I enjoy meeting new people, I am not much of a party person—I generally prefer genuine connections and a relaxed atmosphere.

I am also a certified Professional Organizer in Japan, and I enjoy creating clean, comfortable, and organized spaces. I am happy to help with housekeeping, organizing, daily tasks, pet care, gardening, hospitality, and anything else that supports the household. I always try to be considerate, reliable, and proactive in the work I do.

Animals are very important to me. I have a cat back in Japan and feel comfortable caring for pets and spending time with animals.

One of the things I value most about travel is cultural exchange. I would be happy to share Japanese culture, language, cooking, and everyday life while learning about yours as well.

For me, Workaway is not only about visiting new places but about becoming part of a local community, contributing where I can, and creating meaningful connections along the way.
