Description
We're trying to build a sustainable living space off grid to demonstrate the people who are motivated by the wild life, sustainable tourism, food security and making our living more mattered to the people and other species around us. in 10 years living close to nature or having it around you household is going to cost us a lot more than we think.
Area we are in (Thanamalvila) and we're bordering Udawalawa National Park which is famous for its variety of wildlife there are so many wild animals most of them are harmless but elephants and wild boas are more in to raiding farm lands which is a huge problem in this area, these conflicts end in hurting themselves . Our plan is to go deep in that matter to use the technology available to study the wild animal behavior to think about new ways to minimize these conflicts which has very less impact on both parties.
We're still building up the place from the scratch and achieved a lot so far our team is always welcome interesting travellers to share their experiences with us. After a 6 months of a break we're back on track... Please reachoutTypes of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
our people here are also travel experts so we are also from the same background. if someone is looking for some experience in building check structures designing and hands on experience as we're starting a project very soon.
Also people who have or willing to have Organic farming and own srilankan techniquest to build a rich soil. to get some idea about making our own fertilizers and pest controlling by using natural elements of the nature this is a nice place you can learn all that.
we're 100% green energy based which we use solar + wind to generate our electricity. so if someone who would love to learn about how to switch to off grid living in a more stable way with some income generating project, this is a place which has lot of experience.
Our team here is super friendly english speaking and to get to know srilanka more these are more than capable of that.Help
Most of the tasks which we're doing here is related to building cheap and sustainable house/ cabin designs trying new things and at the same time we grow the natural forest within our own farmland which helps domestic birds small mammals + other wildlife to use as their habitat which might end up with a small glamping resort later.
otherside of the land we've allocated it to grow organic fruits and vegetables, Using traditional farming techniques with stable permaculture background.
on top of this to study and research wild animal behaviours (which is a lot) around the area using trap cameras, study the behaviors to conserve the animals like tortoise, porcupines , birds, small cats ( Jungle cta, civets) and big animals like Wild Boas , elephants. our mission is to study all these categories to understand the level of wild animal domestication and how to prevent the impact on our farming.Languages
