Description
I’m Gemma, a qualified Biology teacher who loves exploring new places, meeting people from all walks of life, and learning something new every day. Travel makes me feel alive and I’m happiest when I’m outdoors, connecting with others, and discovering how different people live and think.
I have a background in teaching and love working with children, it’s one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. Whether it’s helping with language skills, creative projects, or just bringing some fun and laughter to their day, I really enjoy making genuine connections with kids and seeing them grow in confidence.
I also have a big soft spot for animals. Not only do I teach Biology but I have a degree in Animal Science and used to work in animal health and nutrition. At home in Australia, I have a lovely cockerspaniel named Barney who is my little sidekick. Additionally, Sustainability and Conservation is something I teach and am passionate about and it would be so rewarding to involve myself in this type of work.
Teaching has taught me patience, flexibility, and a good sense of humour. I’m open-minded, easygoing, and always up for learning something new along the way.
Looking forward to meeting new people, sharing stories, and enjoying the little things that make each place unique. 🌍🐾

More details about your skills
I’m a qualified Biology teacher with experience working with children of all ages, so I’m confident helping with learning activities, tutoring, or creative projects. I have also been a nanny and babysat and am patient, organised, and love finding fun and practical ways to teach and connect with others.
Outside the classroom, I’m very hands-on and happy to help with everyday tasks. I enjoy cooking (especially using fresh, local ingredients), I’m comfortable caring for animals, helping in gardens, and doing general maintenance or cleaning when needed.
I’m reliable, positive, and quick to pick up new skills — I enjoy learning how things are done in different places and contributing wherever I can. I also work well both independently and as part of a team, and I take pride in doing a job well.
