Description
We are a couple with two young children living in the beautiful Galapagos Islands. Our family is deeply involved in several exciting projects, including our primary venture: a small artisanal cheesemaking business.
Life here is a delightful whirlwind as we juggle our business, parenting, and creative pursuits—one of us is also an artist. Additionally, we run a small adventure travel business, which keeps our days quite full!
We would love to welcome volunteers who are eager to lend a hand with our daily tasks (including help with the kids), in exchange for lodging. (Please note we can only accept one person at a time) -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We have lived in the Galapagos many years (one of us is third generation from here), we will share our love and knowledge of this great place! We will share of knowledge of cheesemaking and teach you any process you would like to learn. We will bring you along on outings and gatherings so that you can meet locals. We also cook a lot, bake bread, do clay - and you are welcome to partake in any of these activities to learn!

Help
We primarily need assistance with our two children (ages 5 and 7). This would be help with activities, homework, and playtime. Other tasks may include errands, gardening, shopping, and some help cooking a couple meals per week.
If you are a person that loves the idea of cheese, you are welcome to also help us in our family artisanal cheesemaking business (only for those who want to - it can be hard work!)., You can work alongside us and learn as much as you would like about the cheesemaking process, and what it is like to make cheese in the Galapagos islands. If you already know how to make certain cheeses, please come teach us!
You’ll have a private bedroom with a queen bed, AC, and its own bathroom. You are welcome to have meals with us or prepare your own in our kitchen.
Expected work hours are about 20 hours per week for individuals. We’re happy to discuss flexible arrangements! -
