Hello! I am Chris. I will travel solo to Italy in early May. Then on to Slovenia and other Balkan countries until early June.
I am looking to do my first workaway for a handful of days somewhere. I want to meaningfully connect with the people and nature and learn of different cultures.
This will be my first time out of the U.S. (traveled extensively by car with my last 2 dogs) and so I am trying to be open, let life flow through me, and embrace the spirit of adventure, whimsy, spontaneity and authentic deep connections!
I am very passionate about living in tune with nature. I have studied and practiced herbal medicine for many years (although my foraging skills could use some work). I love spending time with animals. I am trying to teach myself bluegrass style banjo (i live in the Southern Appalachian mountains). I am newly learning whittling and pottery. I used to work in restaurants and then brewing beer followed by alcoholic cider, but I left that world to focus on a healthier lifestyle that is more true to my dreams and to follow my passion, to walk the path with herbs and nature and healing.
