Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great sleep tonight!
My name is Helena (Olena), I’m a ceramist, 3D designer and a costume designer from Ukraine with a deep passion for different art practices, literature and cinematography.
From an early youth, I got into the spirit of adventure) Along the way, of course, I got familiar to other important parts of the voyage, like personal growth and handling various levels of unusual challenges. I’m always eager to learn about other cultures and meet new people—now, it feels like a necessity to me. Travelling allows to better understand the world—or, as happens more often,-to realize how not everything can or needs to be understood.
When I first time was volunteering, within a similar program at a hostel in Cyprus, I experienced this different way of traveling, not just about visiting a place—but about living in another country, working, helping like a local. I'm fascinated how this kind of experience expanded my perception of the world in multiple incredible ways. That’s exactly what I’ve been looking for, and when I found this website, I knew it was perfect for me.

Throughout my life, I’ve had the chance to work in a puppet theater as a costume designer, in a clothing brand sewing and printing garments with a 3D printer, and I’ve painted around a dozen walls. I’m deeply passionate about decorating spaces, creating or upcycling furniture, and working with various tools. I also have experience working with flowers and some background in set design. Of course, I appreciate various types of experiences, I’m always open to learning new things—most importantly, I want the experience to be enjoyable for everyone included!
I have a deep love for animals. Already multiple times, I’ve worked and helped both, as a dog-sitter and a cat-sitter — and that's experiences that I truly enjoyed. Moreover, I’ve had my dear dog for most of my life, which taught me an appreciation and affection towards different creatures, as well as understanding what a great responsibility they are. On top of that, I’m a proud and devoted “aunt” to my sister’s baby cats!
Also, I worked for a couple of months as a receptionist in Cyprus. I like to keep general order and have experience in Airbnbs cleaning
