More details about your skills
I have worked in lots of different industries so my skills are quite varied!
Chef/Hospitality.
I am enthusiastic about cooking and learning about different cuisines. I have over 5 years experience of cooking in restaurants, cafes and charity initiatives. I currently work as a commis chef in a fine dining restaurant where we cook over an open fire, and I work in a very demanding, fast paced environment. So far, in professional kitchens, I have cooked the following cuisines: Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Pakistani, Iranian, Syrian, Turkish, Kurdish, Greek, Nigerian, Senegalese, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Polish, Mexican, Modern British and American and many more. I would love to continue to learn about different methods, ingredients and techniques. I am able to use technical catering equipment like a sous vide, a vacuum pack machine, a kitchen aid etc.
Working with young people
I have several years experience working with young people, especially those who are vulnerable and have had a difficult start in life. I recently worked as a support worker in a large school with children from a range of backgrounds and challenging circumstances. I used a creative, caring and motivational approach to help improve their confidence. I have also worked with young people from working class backgrounds to help them get a place at University, worked with small children in a primary school and been a personal academic tutor.
Farm work/ Tree planting
I grew up in the countryside and I am confident working outdoors. I recently spent six weeks working on a farm planting trees to improve biodiversity. I am capable of working long hours doing physical tasks, working in a team and carrying plants and equipment across a farm.

What else ...
My interests range from rock climbing, to collage and poetry, to community organising and supporting social justice and equality. The true love of my life is food and cooking, and I am currently working on my own recipe book.
