Description
Hi, we’re Erin (26) and Callum (31) a couple from the UK.
After previous shorter travels we’re looking to spend a longer period of time living abroad and to immerse ourself in new places. From September 2026, we’re setting off to do Workaways across Central and South America. Ideally we’re looking for longer stays (a minimum of a month) and are interested in a variety of work.
We are positive, sociable people who enjoy getting stuck in and learning new things. We are quick learners and take pride in having strong work ethics.
We enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, as well as socialising, travelling, and listening to music. We also enjoy puzzles and games.
We both have full driving licenses and are happy to help with driving tasks as needed.
A bit about Callum - I grew up on a working family farm, which gave me a strong sense of responsibility and a solid work ethic from an early age. I’m very comfortable working with both sheep and cattle, with hands-on experience in feeding, herding, and lambing (800+ sheep). Working on the farm has given me a wide range of practical skills and confidence with physical, outdoor work. Other part time jobs I’ve held include as a Groundsman, in outdoor catering, and on a woodyard. More recently, I work as a project manager and take a logical and levelheaded approach to tasks and problem solving. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether that’s hiking, swimming, or seeking out new adventures. I’m really interested in seeing how different farms and eco-projects operate, and I’m looking forward to improving my Spanish along the way.
A bit about Erin - Before my current office job, I’ve worked in hospitality and in an analytical lab. I’ve also taken time off work to help on my Callum’s family farm over the years! Through hospitality, I’m confident in customer service, keeping spaces clean and organised, and helping with housekeeping, food preparation, cooking, and general day-to-day tasks. On the farm, I’ve worked with livestock and am comfortable with physical, outdoor work. I’m great with children, having grown up in a big family and spent lots of time caring for my two nieces since they were babies. Overall, I’m adaptable, have a good attitude and a genuine willingness to learn. I’m really excited to experience new ways of life, develop practical skills, immerse myself in different cultures and nature, and meet new people during our time in Central and South America.
we want to experience farming and rural life in a more hands-on, meaningful way. Rather than just travelling through places, we want to slow down, learn directly from hosts, understand how different farms and eco-projects operate day to day, supporting hosts and local communities
Coming from a farming background, we know how rewarding (and challenging) this kind of work can be, and we’re excited to build on that experience. We’re especially interested in seeing different approaches to land management and sustainability, picking up practical skills we can take with us. -
