Hello! My name is Emma, and I am 23 years old. I live in Uppsala, Sweden, where I study medicine. I was born in Berlin, Germany, and moved to Sweden when I was five years old.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family—sitting in the sun, talking, hiking, or going second-hand shopping. When I have a few days off, I like to travel by myself and explore new cities. I also like to read and play the violin.

As a person, I am curious about the world and really enjoy discovering new places. There is so much to learn and experience, and I am eager to explore it all! This is my first time doing Workaway, and I am very excited!

I have mostly worked in healthcare as a care assistant in a dementia unit, both in Sweden and Norway. I very much enjoyed these roles, and they were the reason I wanted to study medicine in the first place.

During high school, I also worked at a restaurant.

I have volunteered as a leader for a group of four children at an international CISV camp. CISV is a global non-profit organization that promotes peace education and cross-cultural understanding. After high school, I lived in Ecuador for seven months, where I volunteered as an assistant to a physiotherapist.

I also have a personal trainer certification and speak German, Swedish, and English fluently, as well as Spanish at a good level.

Most importantly, I would like to mention that I am an independent, driven, and committed person. I enjoy learning new skills and appreciate a dynamic and eventful life.
