Hi, I’m Elena :)

I believe the best way to travel is by living and working within local communities — sharing daily life, learning from nature and people, exchanging skills and values.

I’m 29 years old and an Italian woman. I’m open-minded, easy-going, and very hands-on. I enjoy outdoor activities, gardening, farming, and eco-projects. I’m a plant enthusiast, I don’t mind getting dirty, and I enjoy being fully involved in nature-based work.

I gained experience on two eco-farms in the Peloponnese (Greece), where I learned about permaculture, bioconstruction, and animal care. I’ve also volunteered at several music and theatre festivals, and in hostels in Tirana and Lisbon, supporting daily tasks and activities (cleaning, preparing breakfast, reception), which strengthened my teamwork and communication skills.

Creativity is an important part of who I am. I enjoy DIY projects and visual arts: painting, building, experimenting with different materials, and creative problem-solving.
I’m a curious and positive person who enjoys working in international environments. I travelled for quite some time, mainly using platforms such as Couchsurfing and Worldpackers.

I studied social work and mainly worked in NGOs, accompanying migrants and refugees. That is why intercultural awareness, solidarity, and responsibility are characteristics that describe me and that I deeply value.
I also consider myself reliable, flexible, and motivated. I’m comfortable following instructions and working in a team, but also taking initiative when needed.

I just ended a job as an educator in Guatemala, and I want to spend 2–3 months in Latin America before going back to Europe, especially in Colombia.
I speak Spanish fluently and I’m especially interested in projects focused on social work, sustainability, bioconstruction, cooking, community living, permaculture, animal care, creativity, and respect for nature.

For me, Workaway is about meaningful exchange, learning by doing, and putting my energy into projects that make a positive impact.

Hola, soy Elena :)

Creo que la mejor manera de viajar es viviendo y trabajando dentro de comunidades locales — compartiendo la vida cotidiana, aprendiendo de la naturaleza y de las personas, intercambiando habilidades y valores.

Tengo 29 años y soy una mujer italiana. Soy abierta de mente, tranquila y muy práctica. Disfruto de las actividades al aire libre, la jardinería, la agricultura y los proyectos ecológicos. Me encantan las plantas, no me importa ensuciarme y disfruto involucrarme plenamente en trabajos relacionados con la naturaleza.

He adquirido experiencia en dos ecofincas en el Peloponeso (Grecia), donde aprendí sobre permacultura, bioconstrucción y cuidado de animales. También he sido voluntaria en varios festivales de música y teatro, y en hostales , apoyando en tareas diarias y actividades (limpieza, preparación del desayuno, recepción), lo que fortaleció mis habilidades de trabajo en equipo y comunicación.

La creatividad es una parte importante de quien soy. Disfruto los proyectos DIY (hazlo tú mismo) y las artes visuales: pintar, construir, experimentar con diferentes materiales y resolver problemas de manera creativa.

Soy una persona curiosa y positiva que disfruta trabajar en entornos internacionales. He viajado durante bastante tiempo, principalmente utilizando plataformas como Couchsurfing y Worldpackers: aprendiendo y compartiendo con otros.

Estudié trabajo social y he trabajado principalmente en ONG, acompañando a personas migrantes y refugiadas. Por eso, la conciencia intercultural, la solidaridad y la responsabilidad son características que me describen y que valoro profundamente.

También me considero una persona confiable, flexible y motivada. Me siento cómoda siguiendo instrucciones y trabajando en equipo, pero también tomando la iniciativa cuando es necesario.
Acabo de terminar un trabajo como educadora en Guatemala y quiero pasar 2 o 3 meses en América Latina antes de regresar a Europa, especialmente en Colombia.
Hablo español con fluidez y estoy especialmente interesada en proyectos enfocados en trabajo social, sostenibilidad, bioconstrucción, cocina, vida en comunidad, permacultura, cuidado de animales, creatividad y respeto por la naturaleza.

Para mí, Workaway se trata de un intercambio significativo, aprender haciendo y aportar mi energía a proyectos que generen un impacto positivo.

I can teach all the languages I already know : mainly French, Italian and Spanish where I am fluent at , and I had already experience teaching them . I would love to learn words in different languages I don t know. I am indeed a language lover :) Puedo enseñar todos los idiomas que ya conozco: principalmente francés, italiano y español, en los que hablo con fluidez, y ya tengo experiencia enseñándolos.
