Description
My name is Aine and I am a self-employed consultant in leadership and organisational culture change. I have just moved to Chalabre, which is close to the Pyrenees in France. Apart from running my own business, I am involved in a non-profit organisation which is setting up a co-working and co-creation space in the village. I also have a new little dog called Poppy. For all this, I could do with some help in getting the new house organised, someone to mind Poppy when I am away and help in the activities of our charity.

Chalabre is a village of about 1000 people. Different nationalities live here so French and English are the main languages heard in the street. It's about 30 minutes from bigger towns like Mirepoix, Limoux or Lavelanet where there is train connection to Toulouse and Carcassonne. There are lovely walks, interesting villages to see and several Cathare castles in the area.
We speak both English and French at home, and will adapt to our Workawayer's preference.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
At home, I need someone to help out with getting settled into the house. Looking after Poppy when I'm travelling is a priority. In addition, some days could be dedicated to our charity, we have a large building to set up, we need help with social media and we need to organise events.
The work will be varied but will require some flexibility. Sometimes we may work a whole day and then take a whole day off, it will depend on what needs to be done. We will plan week by week.
If you like gardening, and have ideas for landscaping, we could get the garden sorted. It's just a small space.Languages spoken

You will have a large bedroom with double bed and a desk. You will have your own bathroom and toilet, unless there is an additional workawayer or I have family visiting.
We can have all our meals together and you are welcome to cook if you like to.What else ...
In 2018/2019, my husband and I travelled around the world and were hosted as Workawayers in Australia and New Zealand. We absolutely loved the experience and want to offer the same hospitality to other travellers.
I have a busy weekday lifestyle, but at weekends, I like to walk, go to local markets and see friends. You are welcome to join in any weekend activities we do. As we do not have a great public transport system in our area, we will be happy to bring you to the nearest towns and guide you on things to visit.A little more information
